Vision:  To see global leaders’ love for Christ and the people they serve enhanced and strengthened, believing that as we more passionately fulfill the Great Commandment (Matt 22:34-37), the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20) will be more effectively accomplished, preventable attrition within the missions community will be reduced, more healthy churches will be planted, and the Kingdom of God will be greatly expanded, all for the glory of God.

 Strategy: 

           Spiritual Life Retreats.  We conduct retreats in various locations around the world, focusing on the importance on soul care, and practices that nurture and foster the care of one’s soul.   We believe that the most important thing we can do is to be extremely tenacious in the care of our souls, because it is from our soul that our love for God and others comes.

           Team Building Workshops.  We conduct team building workshops for intact teams, helping the members better understand and appreciate how God has uniquely created and gifted each member, and the strategic implications for the team.  We focus on:

 a.       understanding how each member has been given unique spiritual gifts by God to serve on that team;

b.       appreciating the roles that each person innately plays in life;

c.        understanding each person’s preferences for processing information, making decisions and life-style;

d.       determining one’s need for interpersonal relationships;

e.        reflecting on the formative lessons of each person’s life journey; and

f.         understanding how personal values affect team dynamics.

 Interpersonal Skills Workshops.  We conduct workshops using Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills materials developed by Dr. Ken Williams and International Training Partners.  www.itpartners.org .

 Mentoring and Coaching.  We mentor and coach missionaries and mission leaders in areas of soul care, transition, sabbatical, career developmental issues, personal cross-cultural adjustment, and organizational support for cross cultural entry.

 Mission Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance.  We partner with the Mission Commission assisting them in the areas of member care and spirituality, for the purpose of strengthening the members’ national mission movements. www.worldevangelicals.org/commissions/mc/  

Methodologies 

           We often co-facilitate retreats and workshops as a husband-wife team, using interactive adult learning methodologies.  .  We use Jane Vella’s model for adult learning principles and workshop design. We believe that learning takes place best when there is time for personal processing and dialogue with others.   We believe that adults should be in charge of their own learning.  Therefore, we seek to assess needs in advance through needs assessments.

Values

          We believe in the sovereign supernatural workings of God, and that there is no lasting work apart from His direct intervention.

          We believe in the ministry of listening, to God as well as others, and that listening is foundational to effective ministry.

          We believe in healthy interpersonal relationships, and that little ministry takes place apart from good relationships with God and others.

          We respect all people and believe that each person comes with a gift to share with others.

          We believe in partnerships, “coming alongside” existing efforts, strengthening them for even more effective ministry.
