Jon & Harriet Askew |

Dr. Jon Askew,
an experienced OB-GYN doctor also
trained in Public Health and
Tropical Medicine, recently spent
several months directing a mission
hospital in the United Arab
Emirates. Jon and his wife Harriett live in Kosovo, where they
worked before the 1998 NATO bombing
of that former province of
Yugoslavia. Dr. Askew has served on
the board of Frontiers and has done
field projects for Food for the
Hungry and World Vision. In addition
to teaching at the medical school in
Kosovo and coordinating visiting
American Doctors who teach there,
Dr. Askew will serve as Medical
Director for the Mother Theresa
Society, a secular, humanitarian
organization with it roots in Kosovo.
Harriet
Askew has a Masters of
Divinity degree and is a trained
writer and editor. She taught
English Language Arts when Jon was
in medical school. Before living in
Kosovo Harriet ran her husband’s
Arizona medical office for 18 years.
Harriet coordinates theological
training for pastors as well as
teach Bible as Literature to
doctors, their spouses, government
people and others.
