Paraclete Mission Group’s culture of valuing women and their unique giftings is what one associate said is her favorite part of joining the ministry.
“Coming into Paraclete for me was like being let out of a cage,” because of its fit for her giftings, said Shelly Volkhardt, who feels free and supported to do her ministry of speaking at retreats and conferences, meet one-on-one as a mentor and write. “I don’t advertise. It’s just word of mouth and invitation and the Lord opens the door to be free to work in my area of strength and gifting and I feel valued for it.”
Associates also enjoy a culture of grace, she said. This mission agency welcomes “wounded healers” for their ability to understand others’ brokenness, and “cares for the hearts of weary people,” she said, including its own associates.
