During our time in Serbia, we experienced a lot of very nasty stuff: painful interpersonal issues, a war and an evacuation.
And after more than two decades of ministry in that area, we worked ourselves out of a job, as the work was turned over to our national teammates. We returned to the States in 2012, hopeful, but with many questions remaining over the unknown lying in front of us.
But on a trip to Asia for a conference, we were running through the Tokyo airport, attempting to catch our connecting flight to Manila (unsuccessfully) and realized that we’re very much at home in international airports. What does this mean? What’s next?
Soon after, we ran into a friend who told us about Paraclete. “You’d be a good fit for them, they’d be a good fit for you.”
Now we travel around the world with Paraclete caring for missionaries and Christian workers who are going through hard times. We’re not going to tell them they’re bad missionaries, bad workers, bad Christians. We give them an opportunity to share their hearts in a safe place.
