Christie Smith
Christie holds a degree in Christian Formation and Soul Care from Denver Seminary (2017), a program rooted in spiritual direction and companioning others on their faith journeys. Since graduating, she has primarily used her training to serve missionary women, offering spiritual support and encouragement.
Her own journey in missions began in 2006 in Taiwan. However, a traumatic brain injury from a horse accident significantly altered her path. Through God’s grace, she went on to earn a degree in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and had planned to return to the mission field in Thailand. Persistent health challenges redirected her steps once more, ultimately leading her to seminary, where she felt called to support others in their faith journeys amid life’s difficulties.
Christie has worn many hats over the years—graphic designer, barista, journalist, office assistant, full-time missionary in Australia, and spiritual director. Each role has shaped her heart for ministry and deepened her empathy for those facing hardships.
Passionate about helping others strengthen their faith amid life’s challenges, Christie believes God has sustained her through every season. She welcomes honest conversations about the spiritual journey and delights in helping others encounter God’s presence in every area of life.
