Dean & Kristie Short
Dean and Kristie spent over a decade living and serving as part of a missional community in the Middle East, where their lives were shaped by the everyday realities of cross-cultural life, deep relationships, and a dependence on God to discover how He was at work around them. Through both the joys and challenges of life and ministry, they became increasingly aware of their need to tend to the deeper places of their souls —recognizing how protective ways of living often masked unaddressed wounds and the deeper longings of their hearts.
Out of this journey, Dean and Kristie developed a passion for walking alongside leaders and communities helping and guiding them on the path toward a life of wholeheartedness. They work with a team of people to facilitate a process called the Deep Community Experience. The DCE takes leaders and their communities to the core of who God has created them to be, guides them in an ongoing process of living and leading with a whole heart, resulting in a grace-filled Kingdom impact.
Dean and Kristie are passionate about creating safe, intentional spaces where leaders can explore the formative stories of their lives that have shaped their identity and relationships—especially stories marked by harm, heartache, or abuse. In these sacred spaces, they guide individuals and communities to name harm, tend to pain with compassion, and reclaim their belovedness—so they can live more whole, more present, and more able to embody the love of Jesus in the places they are called to serve.
