Lowell & Linda
Lowell came to Christ after two years of college. Within a year, he applied to Denver Seminary. Upon graduation, he pastored the First Baptist Church in Elko, Nevada. He served in Uganda with the Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society in 1984 and ’85. Afterwards, he pastored small churches in California and Nevada.
Linda grew up in rural Nevada and met the Lord when she was 25. Her early walk had its ups and downs but fully bloomed when she took the two-year Navigator’s 2:7 discipleship program. She holds a BS degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in ESL (English as a Second Language).
In 1997, Lowell and Linda moved to East Asia for 11 years. They both taught English at a provincial university. They hosted an “English Corner” in their home that led to many friendships and opportunities to present the Gospel. After moving into the city, they planted house churches and developed and trained prayer-walking teams that eventually covered every street in their city more than once.
After returning to the USA from East Asia, they participated in short-term mission trips to India, England, and East Africa. They then served in Kampala, Uganda, from 2022 to 2024. During their two years there, Lowell trained rural pastors. Linda set up a small shop with several treadle sewing machines. She then began teaching local ladies three times a week how to use the machines to make kids’ and ladies’ clothing and small bags. Included was training on how to manage the shop’s finances to ensure its continued viability.
Based in Meridian, Idaho, Lowell and Linda will continue their ongoing projects through a local church in Uganda.
In his recreational time, Lowell enjoys backpacking, studying history, and board games. Linda loves sewing.
