Scott & Becca Brand
Scott and Becca met while studying at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, where they both earned Master of Arts degrees in Counseling. Before seminary, Becca served as a missionary with Serge in southern Europe and later as a recruiter for long-term missionaries. Scott worked as a youth and worship director at a church in Orlando, Florida.
Becca grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the daughter of a PCA pastor, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in Spanish and Sociology. From an early age, she developed a love for the global church through close relationships with missionary families. Scott was raised in Columbus, Ohio, in a family that deeply valued the work of missions both in the U.S. and abroad.
In November 2019, Scott and Becca moved to Ireland with their son, Lewis. Their daughter, Aeluin, was born in June 2021. For the past six years, they have served with Serge at Donabate Presbyterian Church and in Donabate’s church plant in Balbriggan, which began in 2020.
While continuing to serve in Donabate and Balbriggan, God has used Scott and Becca’s deep commitment to serving and encouraging the Irish church to lead them into a new ministry: Athghin (pronounced “Ah-hin”, the Irish word for regeneration). Athghin is a center for retreat and spiritual formation dedicated to the care, support, rest, and renewal of pastors and ministry workers in Ireland and around the world. Though still in its early stages of development, Scott and Becca are eager to see how God will use this work to bless and strengthen his church.
