On a scale of one to ten, our trip was twelve! We knew beyond all doubt that people were praying for us. To have your partnership with us in this way was strategic because it led to divine appointments and opportunities throughout the month we were in Asia. And with the return invitations we received, we can definitely identify with the longing the Apostle Paul expressed to the Thessalonian believers in 1 Thess. 3:11
Pictured above is a young man who knew us years ago during the time that we served in S. Africa. He was just a young boy then, and not a believer. After coming to Christ and graduating from a Bible College in S. Africa, he entered the pastorate for 10 years. Now in his mid-thirties, he serves in Asia and is the one who invited us there to do some training. After a meeting with some leaders, who simply stared into our faces for approximately 20 minutes, said through a translator, “The Spirit of God has confirmed to us that your hearts are the same as our hearts. We can trust you, and we want to specifically invite you to return to train a group of about 60 co-workers. Can you come?” What a privilege and honor to assist ministry leaders in this way!
It seems to us now that, after our first ten months serving with Paraclete, one Asian and two African countries have risen to the top for our attention and plans. Naturally, this necessitates your prayer support for wisdom and insight regarding dates and coordination with several groups in these countries.
