Beth Mason
In 2006, Beth started ministering with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) in Chicago’s inner city and continued with them until 2017. Then, she served with Envision under C&MA (Christian and Missionary Alliance) until 2023.
In 2012, her mentor became a Spiritual Director. This inspired Beth to explore more deeply the Lord’s contemplative ways. While heavily involved in full-time ministry to a fast-paced society, she felt herself drawn to practices like silence and solitude and weekly Sabbaths. She hungered for more silent time with the Lord. That led her to develop new rhythms that helped her slow down, listen, and reflect on the movements of God.
Beth has experienced ministry burnout herself. So, the Lord has given her a heart to serve those in ministry who need to learn the unhurried rhythms of grace that Christ offers. She provides Spiritual Direction and trains in contemplative practices. She has a creative bent and also offers workshops that help ministers and others connect with God through art. Additionally, she guides individuals and groups in silent and soul-care retreats.
Beth is based in Chicago and lives there with her husband, Eric, and 6-year-old cat, Bagheera. She enjoys hiking, reading, Zumba, dance, and art. Though raised in southern California, she loves the four seasons of the mid-west, even snow!
