Duane and Jayne DeJong come alongside missionaries both stateside and overseas by supporting them in projects, encouragement, a listening ear, networking and training. They’re currently based in Cedar Springs, Michigan. Before joining Paraclete, they spent four years in the Balkans. Duane served as regional director in the Balkans for International Business as Mission (iBAM). He also trained and discipled believers in biblical entrepreneurship. Jayne served in various positions in the local private school, provided Human Resource duties for a teammate’s ministry, discipled young women and provided childcare for teammates working at a school. Duane has also made several trips throughout Asia with Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) partnering with nationals in various ministry projects. He also grew up as a missionary kid in Australia, where his dad was a church planter. Additionally, Duane served in the Navy, operated heavy equipment, was a manager of a manufacturing company, and managed a pet cremation business. Jayne has a bachelor’s degree in HR, has worked as an HR manager, and worked as an executive assistant in a medical equipment company. Duane’s hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycles and traveling with Jayne. Jayne likes camping, reading, crafts, kids and hosting. They’ve been married for 29 years and have two adult children, a daughter and a son.
