Jay Breish
Jay Breish is a missionary with Paraclete Mission Group, coming alongside teens, families, and adults to bring hope and healing in Christ. Since 2001, Jay has served youth and families. In 2009, his focus shifted to helping people with tragic backgrounds. His unique blend of pastoral counseling, teaching, and prayer ministry has allowed him to disciple individuals out of their troubled pasts and into their God-given destinies. He has a big heart and isn’t easily caught off-guard by people’s struggles. He believes that God gives hope to the hopeless and is grateful to be a part of someone’s healing journey.
Jay is also a servant-leader and enjoys partnering with ministries to help them become sustainable, legacy-minded organizations that carry the kingdom of God into generations to come. He has many leadership experiences, including pastoring, working with and serving on boards, public speaking, non-profit executive leadership, and hosting training seminars.
When asked, “What is the calling on your life” Jay referred to Isaiah 61:1-2
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD.
He wants to see people set free so that they can live out of their callings. God has gifted him to walk with others in their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. He believes Father God often uses him to lead others to freedom. Jesus came so that we would have abundant life, but so many live far below that line. Jay sees his role as helping others to embrace the abundant life that Jesus bought for them. Jay holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible, specializing in youth ministry and a master’s degree in family life education. He is currently working on his doctorate in social leadership. Jay lives in Virginia with his wife and three beautiful daughters.Share
