Jeff Winell
Jeff and Krista are both originally from Michigan. Growing up in Christian homes they both felt the call to follow Christ. Jeff, a recent graduate from Word of Life Bible Institute met Krista in the fall of 1993 and soon they were married and following their passion of serving in Camp Ministry. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership/Business Management from Cornerstone University and they soon accepted a call to serve at a Christian camp in Fairbanks Alaska. Since that day they have served as missionaries in camps both in Alaska as well as Michigan. They now reside in Kodiak Alaska where they both are working as carpenters for a year as they work to raise funds to serve as full-time Paraclete Associates. Jeff brings his experience in camp leadership to help support camps across Alaska. Many of which are the only chance young people have to hear the Good News. When asked, Why Alaska? Jeff referred to a recent trip to a remote camp outside Bethel Alaska. “Alaska is a different place then many people believe. There are communities where the only way to visit is to fly in. There are no roads. In many places there are no churches. Flying kids from these bush communities to camp for a week is a huge task but worth all the effort by so many people. These camps need to stay functioning and serving and we intend on doing all we can to help them do that.” Jeff and Krista serve Alaska in several ways.
