John & Linn Crowe
Linn (Dillard) had help from and ministered with CRU while John had lots of good training with the Navs in college. They met at CIU and afterwards John pastored for 7 years with the C&MA. They then served with TEAM as church planters in northern Portugal, where they lived for almost 12 years. Resigning when they saw both of John’s parents becoming demented, they took care of them for five years. God then opened a door for John to pastor Heliopolis Community Church in Cairo, Egypt where they lived for over six years and saw the need for pastoring and caring for workers. They returned to the States in ’09 thinking another church would open up. Rather, God led them to join the Member Development team of Pioneers and a year+ later to start MRC (Missionary Resources Connection) in Raleigh, NC, where both of their married daughters were growing their sweet families (and where later their single son would settle). MRC tracks with missionaries in the area, refers them to counselors, and helps in various practical ways. John and Linn are trained in the LeRucher method of debriefing – they give individual debriefs themselves and do group debriefings in N GA 2 or 3 times a year with MECNET (Member Care East Coast). They are very happy to be joining the Paraclete tribe!
