After 35 years of voluntarily working beside my husband, John, as he held various ministry positions, mainly in the counseling arena, I officially joined Paraclete Mission Group alongside him, making us an “official team.” When John was unexpectedly called to his heavenly home February 6, 2023, I gratefully continued my part-time role on Paraclete staff. I am committed to being a safe place for ministry leaders to process through whatever is going on in their personal lives and ministries. Knowing that ministry leaders are not perfect or exempt from the struggles and challenges that living in this world can bring, I desire to be a good listener and provide encouragement and mentoring consistent with God’s heart. My focus is mainly on ministry wives, but I have also continued to spend time with struggling couples. Helping ministry leaders be encouraged and healthy so that they can do their work for the Kingdom brings me great joy. I am a native Texan and have two grown children, both married and five grandchildren. While in college, I volunteered as a leader with Young Life, which gave me a glimpse into non-profit ministry. When John was going through a Biblical counseling master’s program, I audited several core classes that further equipped me to help others. I have been told that my ability to connect with people at a heart level is a God-given gift. Coming alongside ministry leaders and engaging with them about what is happening in their personal lives as well as their ministry brings me great joy. It is truly an honor to partner with other ministry leaders and help them become all God has designed them to be.
