For 14 years, I lived a rich and challenging life in Indonesia while my husband took to the skies as a pilot for a Christian nonprofit mission agency. But last year, the work came to an end and heartbroken, we left our home, community and organization in Indonesia. I wasn’t sure where to go from there. But from loss emerged a new dream—writing about nonprofit work for Paraclete Mission Group.
I connected with Paraclete’s vision for coming alongside others, working without an agenda and caring for the marginalized. Working with this mission agency has given me a chance to combine both my background in journalism and experience in ministry to look deeper into the challenges, opportunities and needs in nonprofit work. I want people to feel heard, seen and welcome. By honoring my own journey, perspective and voice, Paraclete has welcomed me, too.
